Gohemp Agroventures, in collaboration with Himalayan Hemp Ecostay, is organising a three-day Hands-on Hempcrete Workshop from 25 to 27 December 2026 in Pauri Garhwal, Uttarakhand. The workshop aims to introduce participants to hemp-based construction materials and practical techniques associated with sustainable and natural building practices.
Designed as an experiential learning programme, the workshop will provide participants with an opportunity to understand and work with hemp-based building materials through practical demonstrations and hands-on activities. The programme will focus on two key techniques: hemp-lime plastering and hempcrete casting, offering insights into their application in alternative construction systems.
The workshop will be conducted over three days, with full-day sessions on 25 and 26 December, followed by a half-day session on 27 December. Participants will gain practical exposure to material preparation, application methods and the fundamentals of working with hempcrete.
The sessions will be led by Namrata Kandwal and Gaurav Dixit, Co-founders of the organising initiatives. Their guidance will help participants explore the potential of hemp-based materials in environmentally conscious building practices.
The workshop will take place at Himalayan Hemp Ecostay, located in Faldakot Malla, Yamkeshwar, in the scenic Pauri Garhwal region of Uttarakhand.
Registration and Participation
The participation fee is ₹7,999, inclusive of accommodation, food, workshop materials and a certificate of participation. A scholarship is also available for one participant, with interested applicants encouraged to contact the organisers for further details.
