The Building Materials & Technology Promotion Council (BMTPC), under the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, Government of India, is organising the 9th session of its ongoing webinar series titled “Innovative Building Materials and Technologies for Thermally Comfortable Green Buildings.” The webinar will focus on the growing concern of dust emissions from construction sites and explore practical approaches to cleaner and more sustainable construction practices.
Titled “Towards Clean Construction: Understanding and Mitigating Dust Emissions at Sites,” the webinar aims to raise awareness about the environmental and public health impacts of construction-related dust pollution. It will also discuss measures and strategies to minimise dust emissions and promote responsible construction site management.
The session will feature Sh. Pr ayash Giria, Senior Programme Manager – Sustainable Cities & Transport, World Resources Institute (WRI), New Delhi, as the speaker. He will share insights into the challenges associated with dust emissions at construction sites and approaches to mitigating their impact.
The webinar series is part of BMTPC’s ongoing efforts to promote modern, innovative and green building technologies, supporting faster, cost-effective and quality housing development under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana – Urban (PMAY-U) 2.0. The initiative is designed to benefit government officials, architects, engineers, developers, professionals, students, researchers and other stakeholders involved in the housing and construction sectors.
