The Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA), Government of India, in collaboration with the School of Planning and Architecture (SPA), New Delhi, and the Building Materials & Technology Promotion Council (BMTPC), is offering the 24th Batch of NAVARITIH – Certificate e-Course on Innovative Construction Technologies.

The five-day online course is designed to familiarise professionals and students with innovative construction materials, technologies, construction methodologies and their practical applications in housing. The 24th batch is scheduled from September 25 to 29, 2026, with registrations currently open.
About NAVARITIH
NAVARITIH stands for New, Affordable, Validated, Research Innovation Technologies for Indian Housing. The course was launched as an activity under the Construction Technology Year (2019–20), announced during Construction Technology India 2019 under the Global Housing Technology Challenge–India.
The course aims to:
- Familiarise professionals with the latest construction materials and technologies being used worldwide for housing.
- Provide knowledge of materials and technologies, including their properties, specifications, performance, design and construction methodologies.
- Offer exposure to executed projects and case studies where innovative technologies have been implemented.

Class Timings: 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM
Course Fee: ₹2,500 per participant (one-time, non-refundable)

Who Can Apply?
The course is open to applicants possessing a minimum qualification of:
- B.E./B.Tech. in Civil Engineering or equivalent
- B.Arch. or equivalent
- Diploma in Civil Engineering with at least five years of experience
- Final-year students of Civil Engineering and Architecture
Applicants are required to submit a scanned copy of their degree/diploma certificate or equivalent document, or a college ID card, along with the application. Admissions are on a first-come, first-served basis.
Course Curriculum
The curriculum covers a wide range of alternative and innovative construction technologies over five days.
Day 1: Emerging construction technologies, formwork systems and tunnel formwork, including concepts, construction methodologies and case studies.
Day 2: Precast sandwich panels, GFRG panel systems, stay-in-place formwork systems and EPS technology for construction.
Day 3: Steel structural systems and 3D concrete printing technology for mass housing, including field applications and case studies.
Day 4: Light Gauge Steel Frame Systems and precast concrete buildings, covering construction methodologies, implementation and field applications.
Day 5: 3D precast volumetric systems, precast concrete construction, design and erection, production methodologies, joints and detailing, along with bamboo-based construction for housing.
Teaching & Assessment
The teaching methodology includes lectures, presentations, discussions and Q&A sessions conducted through an online platform. Participants will also receive reading material after successful registration.
An online Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) examination will be conducted after completion of the course. The examination may be taken at any time within 45 days after the conclusion of the course. Participants who successfully complete the course will receive a certificate.
Certificate Opportunity at World Habitat Day
A special opportunity is also available for participants on the occasion of World Habitat Day, to be held at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi, on October 5, 2026. Desirous participants will have the opportunity to receive their certificates from the Ministry of Housing & Urban Affairs during the technical session on Climate Resilience and Energy Efficiency in the Built Environment.
