Addressing residents during the launch, the Chief Minister stated that there would be no shortage of funds for the development of rural areas and that the approved budget would significantly accelerate long-pending infrastructure works. She emphasised that the government’s focus is on on-ground execution rather than paperwork, ensuring visible improvements in people’s daily lives.

Key Infrastructure Interventions

According to the Chief Minister, the ₹400 crore package includes:

  • Strengthening and widening of internal and connecting roads
  • Improvement of drains and drainage systems
  • Development of parks and community spaces
  • Upgradation of basic civic amenities in villages and semi-urban pockets

The construction of roads linking rural and urban areas is expected to improve connectivity, reduce travel time, and provide a boost to local economic activity, particularly for small businesses and daily commuters.

Health and Social Infrastructure

In addition to physical infrastructure, the area has seen the establishment of several Arogya Mandirs and two Atal Canteens, aimed at strengthening primary healthcare access and providing affordable meals to residents.

The Chief Minister noted that for years, rural areas suffered due to delayed execution, with deteriorating roads and neglected drainage and sewerage systems. “Villages remained disconnected from the mainstream of development,” she said, adding that the current initiatives are meant to correct these long-standing gaps.
