New Delhi: The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has announced an early start to services on the Violet Line on Sunday, September 27, to facilitate participants travelling to the Faridabad Half Marathon-2026 at Surajkund Mela Grounds, Faridabad.
As per the latest advisory issued by DMRC, Violet Line services will begin at 4:00 AM, instead of the regular Sunday start time. From 4:00 AM to 6:00 AM, trains will operate at 30-minute intervals.
After 6:00 AM, services on the Violet Line will run according to the regular Sunday timetable. The early services will cover the Kashmere Gate–Raja Nahar Singh (Ballabhgarh) corridor, providing connectivity towards Faridabad during the early morning hours.
The special arrangement has been made specifically to facilitate participants of the Faridabad Half Marathon-2026, which is being held at the Surajkund Mela Grounds.
DMRC has also clarified that metro services on all other lines will commence as per their regular Sunday timetable.
