NAVARITIH 24th Batch Certificate e-Course on Innovative Construction Technologies 2026

The Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA), Government of India, in collaboration with the School of Planning and Architecture (SPA), New Delhi, and the Building Materials & Technology Promotion Council (BMTPC), is inviting registrations for the NAVARITIH 24th Batch – Certificate e-Course on Innovative Construction Technologies, beginning September 7, 2026.

NAVARITIH, which stands for New, Affordable, Validated, Research Innovation Technologies for Indian Housing, is designed to familiarise professionals and students with emerging materials and construction technologies relevant to housing and the built environment. According to the course flyer, the programme aims to provide participants with knowledge of the latest materials and technologies being used worldwide, including their properties, specifications, performance, design approaches and construction methodologies. It also provides exposure to executed projects where innovative technologies have been implemented.

The five-day online certificate course will be conducted through video conferencing, with classes scheduled from 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm. The programme covers a range of construction systems, including formwork and tunnel formwork, precast sandwich panels, GFRG panels, stay-in-place formwork, EPS technology, steel structural systems, 3D concrete printing, light gauge steel frame systems, precast concrete buildings, 3D precast volumetric systems and bamboo-based housing construction.

The course is open to professionals who have completed B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering or B.Arch. or an equivalent qualification. Diploma holders in Civil Engineering with at least five years of experience are also eligible. Final-year students of Civil Engineering and Architecture can apply. Applicants are required to submit a scanned copy of their degree/diploma certificate or equivalent document, or a college identity card, along with the application.

The curriculum is structured across five days. Day 1 focuses on emerging construction technologies, formwork systems and tunnel formwork. Day 2 covers precast sandwich panels, GFRG panels, stay-in-place formwork and EPS technology. Day 3 introduces steel structural systems and 3D concrete printing for mass housing. Day 4 addresses light gauge steel framing and precast concrete buildings, while Day 5 covers 3D precast volumetric systems, precast concrete construction and bamboo-based construction for housing.

The course also includes lectures, presentations, discussions and question-and-answer sessions. Participants will have access to online reading material after successful registration. An online multiple-choice examination will be conducted after completion of the course, which may be taken at any time within 45 days following the conclusion of the programme. Successful participants will receive a certificate. Optional field visits may also be conducted to provide hands-on exposure to innovative technologies.

The course fee is ₹2,500 per participant, described in the flyer as a one-time, non-refundable fee. Admissions will be made on a first-come, first-served basis. Applicants who are not admitted to the current batch may be considered for the subsequent batch.

The NAVARITIH course was launched as an activity under the Construction Technology Year (2019–20), announced during Construction Technology India 2019: Expo-cum-Conference under the Global Housing Technology Challenge–India on March 2, 2019, in New Delhi. The flyer also states that the course was launched by the Prime Minister during the laying of foundation stones for Light House Projects at six locations on January 1, 2021.
