The Ahmedabad World Heritage City Trust (AWHCT), formed under the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation, has announced multiple contractual vacancies for professionals in architecture, conservation, heritage management, GIS, tourism, and urban development sectors. The recruitment drive includes 19 positions to support heritage conservation and tourism initiatives in the UNESCO World Heritage City of Ahmedabad.
Applications can be submitted online or offline through the official Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation website until 11 June 2026, 5:00 PM. The appointments will initially be on a three-year contract basis, extendable further based on project requirements.

Architecture and Conservation Vacancies
Assistant Director
The post requires a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture with professional experience and Council of Architecture registration. Candidates with additional qualifications in Management, Public Administration, or Heritage Management will be preferred.
Assistant Architects
A total of four Assistant Architect positions have been announced for B.Arch graduates with at least two years of professional experience. The contract remuneration is ₹45,000 per month.
Conservation Architects
Two Conservation Architect positions are open for candidates with M.Arch (Conservation) qualifications and experience in architectural heritage conservation projects.
GIS Expert
The GIS Expert role requires expertise in GIS mapping, spatial analysis, ArcGIS, QGIS, and remote sensing tools, with preference for candidates experienced in heritage or public-sector projects.
Draft Person
Applicants with qualifications in Draftsmanship, Architecture, or Civil Engineering and experience in technical documentation and conservation-related drafting are eligible to apply.
Tourism and Heritage Management Roles
The Tourism Cell has also announced vacancies for:
- Senior Executive – Tourism Cell
- Manager – Creative Communication & Branding
- Assistant Manager – Tourism Planning & Community Programmes
- Assistant Manager – Visitor Experience & Operations
- Assistant Manager – Tourism Data & Digital Platforms
These positions focus on heritage tourism development, community engagement, branding, and digital tourism management.
