Urban ARC 2026 Extends Submission Deadline to 13 November 2025

The Indian Institute for Human Settlements (IIHS) has announced an extension to the submission deadline for Urban ARC 2026, its flagship annual research conference. The 10th edition of the event, themed “Contested Terrains: Space, Place and Scale,” will be held from 15–17 January 2026 at IIHS, Sadashivanagar, Bengaluru, with hybrid participation available via Zoom.

As part of IIHS Research Week, Urban ARC serves as a vital platform for scholars, researchers, and practitioners across the Global South to engage with emerging questions in urban research, practice, and policy. The conference encourages interdisciplinary dialogue, reflection, and collaborative exploration from all urban-focused fields and methodologies.

The extended deadline provides participants additional time to submit their work and join a diverse cohort of contributors examining spatial dynamics, urban transformations, and contested development narratives.
