Total Prize Pool of ₹5.85 Crore | Applications Open Till October 31, 2025
The Government of India has opened applications for three flagship Global Impact Challenges under the upcoming India-AI Impact Summit 2026, offering a total prize pool of ₹5.85 crore. Announced by Union Minister for Electronics and Information Technology, Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw, these challenges aim to foster inclusive and responsible artificial intelligence innovations that can deliver tangible social and economic impact.

The three initiatives — AI for All: Global Impact Challenge, AI by HER: Global Impact Challenge, and YUVAi: Global Youth Challenge — are now live on the official portal: https://impact.indiaai.gov.in/. Each challenge offers participants mentorship, investor access, and global exposure to scale their AI-driven ideas.
1. AI for All: Global Impact Challenge
This challenge invites global innovators to showcase scalable AI solutions addressing critical issues across Agriculture, Climate & Sustainability, Education, Financial Inclusion, Healthcare, Manufacturing, Urban Infrastructure & Mobility, and more.
- Awards: Up to ₹2.5 crore for top 10 winners
- Support: Mentorship, investor connects, and travel sponsorship for 20 finalist teams
- Eligibility: Open globally to students, researchers, professionals, companies, and startups with deployable AI solutions
2. AI by HER: Global Impact Challenge
Organized by the Women Entrepreneurship Platform (WEP), NITI Aayog, this challenge promotes women-led AI innovations creating measurable social impact. Focus areas include Agriculture, Cybersecurity, Education, Healthcare, Energy & Climate, and more.
- Awards: Up to ₹2.5 crore for top 10 winners
- Support: Virtual bootcamps on Responsible AI, curated investor sessions, and travel aid for 30 finalists
- Eligibility: Open globally to women-led teams or entities with working AI prototypes
3. YUVAi: Global Youth Challenge
Targeting young innovators aged 13–21 years, this challenge encourages youth to build AI solutions for public good. Thematic areas include community empowerment, smart ecosystems, and future-ready infrastructure.
- Awards: Total ₹85 lakh, including ₹15 lakh each for top 3 winners
- Support: Bootcamps, investor showcases, travel sponsorship, and publication opportunities
- Eligibility: Open globally to youth teams or individuals with prototypes or deployable AI concepts
