The Kanpur Development Authority (KDA) has issued a Re-Tender Notice for the appointment of a consultant to prepare the Master Plan-2031 for its extended planning area. The initiative aims to guide Kanpur’s long-term urban growth through structured spatial planning, infrastructure development, and land-use regulation.
According to the notice, the selected consultant will be responsible for preparing the Master Plan for the Extended Area, with boundaries as defined in the Request for Proposal (RFP) document. The plan is expected to address future urban expansion, mobility networks, housing needs, environmental considerations, and infrastructure provisioning in line with statutory planning frameworks.
The RFP document can be downloaded from the Government of Uttar Pradesh e-tender portal at http://www.etender.up.gov.in. Interested firms and planning consultancies are required to submit both Technical and Financial Bids along with all supporting documents as specified in the RFP.
The last date and time for submission of bids is 17 January 2026 at 5:00 PM. The tender process will be conducted entirely through the e-tendering system, in accordance with applicable procurement norms.
The notice has been issued under the authority of Madan Singh Garbyal, Vice Chairman, Kanpur Development Authority. The re-tender indicates KDA’s intent to ensure wider participation and selection of a technically competent consultancy for this critical urban planning exercise.
The proposed Master Plan-2031 is expected to play a key role in shaping Kanpur’s development trajectory, particularly as the city continues to expand beyond its existing municipal limits and responds to emerging challenges related to population growth, infrastructure demand, and sustainable urban development.
