The GRIHA Council has announced a comprehensive 3-day online training programme focused on GRIHA Version 6 (V.6), aimed at architects, engineers, planners, sustainability professionals, students, and green building practitioners. The training programme is scheduled to be held from 20–22 May 2026 in online mode from 10:30 AM to 5:30 PM daily.
The programme is designed to provide participants with an in-depth understanding of the latest GRIHA V.6 framework, evaluation parameters, compliance requirements, and documentation processes associated with sustainable building certification in India. Through interactive sessions, case studies, and practical exercises, the initiative aims to strengthen professional knowledge in green building assessment and sustainable development practices.
According to the GRIHA Council, the training will cover several important aspects of the updated rating system, including:
- Detailed overview of the GRIHA V.6 framework
- Evaluation parameters and revised criteria requisites
- Compliance and documentation procedures for certification
- Interactive learning through case studies and hands-on exercises
- Guidance on becoming a GRIHA Certified Professional or Evaluator
The programme is expected to benefit professionals involved in sustainable architecture, energy-efficient design, urban planning, and environmentally responsible construction practices. Participants will also gain insights into the practical implementation of green building standards and certification processes in contemporary projects.
GRIHA (Green Rating for Integrated Habitat Assessment) is India’s national rating system for green buildings and has been instrumental in promoting sustainable development and environmentally conscious construction across the country.
