The Indian Green Building Council (IGBC), in association with the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), will organise the 2nd Edition of the Green Rajasthan Summit 2026 on Wednesday, 28 October 2026, in Jaipur, Rajasthan. The summit will focus on the theme “Climate-Smart Rajasthan: Accelerating Sustainable Growth Through Green Infrastructure”, bringing together policymakers, industry leaders, architects, urban planners, real estate developers, infrastructure agencies, financial institutions and sustainability professionals.
Rajasthan is witnessing rapid urbanisation, industrial expansion, real estate development, growth in tourism infrastructure and large-scale renewable energy investments. Against this backdrop, the summit aims to explore practical strategies for developing resource-efficient, climate-resilient and future-ready cities and communities across the state.
The event will provide a platform for stakeholders to discuss the role of green buildings, sustainable urbanisation, net-zero buildings and low-carbon infrastructure in supporting Rajasthan’s long-term development goals. Discussions will also examine emerging technologies for the built environment, sustainable construction materials and innovations that can reduce the environmental impact of infrastructure development.
Key discussion areas will include green buildings and sustainable development, energy efficiency, urban infrastructure and climate resilience, low-carbon construction materials, sustainable infrastructure planning, and policy and financial mechanisms for accelerating the green transition. The summit will also address stakeholder collaboration and pathways for adopting low-carbon cement, an important consideration in reducing emissions associated with the construction sector.
With the built environment playing a significant role in energy consumption, resource use and carbon emissions, the summit is expected to encourage greater collaboration among government agencies, industry representatives, architects, planners, developers and technology providers. Such engagement can help identify scalable solutions for integrating sustainability into buildings, infrastructure projects and urban development initiatives.
The programme will begin at 9:00 AM onwards in Jaipur. The event is intended for government officials, urban planners, developers, infrastructure agencies, architects, consultants, financial institutions, academia and sustainability professionals.
By bringing together stakeholders from across the built-environment sector, the Green Rajasthan Summit 2026 seeks to advance discussions on climate-responsive planning, low-carbon construction and sustainable infrastructure, supporting the transition towards a more resource-efficient and climate-resilient Rajasthan.
