New Delhi: NITI Aayog’s Women Entrepreneurship Platform (WEP) and DP World have jointly launched ‘We Rise – Women Entrepreneurs Reimagining Inclusive and Sustainable Enterprises’, a flagship initiative aimed at empowering women-led businesses across India to expand globally through trade facilitation, mentorship, and strategic partnerships.

The Statement of Intent (SoI) for this collaboration was signed by Ms. Anna Roy, Mission Director, WEP, in the presence of Shri B.V.R. Subrahmanyam, CEO, NITI Aayog.
Under the framework of WEP’s Award to Reward (ATR) initiative, the ‘We Rise’ programme will identify and mentor high-potential women-led Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) across India to scale their operations internationally. Leveraging its global logistics network and expertise, DP World will design interventions that enhance export readiness for 100 women entrepreneurs, helping them meet global trade standards and strengthen their business capacity.
A significant highlight of the programme includes opportunities for selected women entrepreneurs to showcase their products at Bharat Mart in Dubai, a global B2B and B2C marketplace located in the Jebel Ali Free Zone (Jafza) — opening direct access to international buyers.
“This partnership supports the Government of India’s vision for women-led economic growth,” said Shri B.V.R. Subrahmanyam, CEO, NITI Aayog. “Through ‘We Rise’, we aim to create an enabling environment where women entrepreneurs can grow, scale, and access global markets. By uniting efforts with DP World, a global leader in supply chain solutions, we are strengthening the foundation for long-term impact.”
Ms. Anna Roy, Mission Director, WEP, emphasized the need for curated interventions for women-led development through entrepreneurship, appreciating DP World’s proactive role in promoting women exporters.
The partnership marks a significant public–private collaboration focused on enhancing trade access for women-led enterprises. With more than 90,000 women entrepreneurs already engaged on the WEP platform, the initiative will serve as a catalyst for inclusive economic growth.
Launched in 2018 and transitioned into a public–private partnership in 2022, the Women Entrepreneurship Platform (WEP) acts as a national aggregator supporting women entrepreneurs through six key pillars — access to finance, market linkages, training and skilling, mentoring and networking, compliance support, and business development services.
The Award to Reward (ATR) model, launched in 2023, further institutionalizes this collaborative framework by fostering scalable partnerships and measurable outcomes for women entrepreneurs across the nation.
