Council of Architecture Withdraws NHB Award for Best Architectural Design Competition

New Delhi – The Council of Architecture (CoA) has announced the withdrawal of the NHB Award for Best Architectural Design Competition, citing insufficient participation across different categories.

According to the official notice issued by CoA Registrar R. K. Oberoi, the decision was taken after the National Housing Bank (NHB) confirmed that the competition did not receive the expected number of entries.

The statement emphasized that the competition has been cancelled with immediate effect, and all participants and stakeholders are requested to take note of the development. The Council expressed regret for the inconvenience caused.

The NHB Award, aimed at recognizing innovative architectural designs, was expected to attract wide participation from architects and students. However, the lower-than-anticipated response led to its cancellation this year.
