The Indian Green Building Council (IGBC), in association with the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), is set to organise an insightful webinar on the newly launched IGBC Green New Buildings Rating System – Version 4 on June 1, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM. The session aims to introduce professionals to the upgraded framework that focuses on accelerating the transition toward net-zero and low-carbon built environments.

Titled “Webinar on New Building Version 4 – Leading Projects Towards Net Zero”, the virtual event will highlight how the revised rating system integrates advanced sustainability parameters into the planning, design, and execution stages of commercial and institutional developments.
The updated NB Version 4 introduces several key features, including:
- Decarbonisation pathways
- Embodied carbon assessment
- Water and energy management strategies
- ESG-aligned principles
- Passive design approaches
- Net-zero readiness
- Innovative sustainability solutions
According to IGBC, the revised framework has been developed to support the building sector in addressing climate change challenges while improving operational efficiency and environmental performance. The rating system is expected to help architects, developers, consultants, engineers, contractors, and facility managers align projects with evolving sustainability benchmarks and global ESG expectations.
The webinar will provide participants with an overview of the technical updates introduced in Version 4 and explain how the framework can support projects in reducing carbon emissions from concept to completion. Experts from the green building sector are expected to discuss implementation strategies, compliance mechanisms, and future-ready design approaches.
The event is open to:
- Architects
- Consultants
- Developers
- Engineers
- Facility teams
- Contractors
Participants can register through the official registration link shared by IGBC and CII.
