According to the announcement, the NATA 2026 examination will be conducted from April 4, 2026 to June 13, 2026. The test will be held every Friday and Saturday in two sessions, giving candidates multiple opportunities to appear for the exam during the testing period. The flexible schedule allows students to choose a convenient date and attempt the examination more than once to improve their scores.

NATA evaluates candidates on a range of abilities essential for architectural education, including drawing and observation skills, sense of proportion and aesthetics, critical thinking, visual perception, and architectural awareness. The exam is designed to assess the aptitude required for professional training in architecture and is a key eligibility criterion for admission to many architecture schools in India.

Students who have completed or are appearing for their 10+2 or equivalent examination with Mathematics as a subject are eligible to apply, subject to the guidelines issued by the Council of Architecture and individual institutions. The NATA score is widely accepted by architectural colleges and universities across the country that are recognized by the Council.

Interested candidates can complete their registration and obtain detailed information regarding the application process, examination pattern, eligibility criteria, and test centres through the official NATA portal.

With the opening of registrations, aspiring architects are encouraged to begin their preparation and complete the application process within the stipulated timeline to secure a seat in approved architecture institutions for the upcoming academic session.
