Delhi: The Indian Culture Portal (ICP), an initiative of the Ministry of Culture, is participating in Bharat Parv 2026 at the Red Fort, New Delhi, from 26 to 31 January 2026, as part of the Republic Day celebrations. The portal has invited citizens, students, educators, researchers and culture enthusiasts to visit its stall and explore India’s rich and diverse cultural heritage.

Bharat Parv 2026 was inaugurated by Om Birla, Hon’ble Speaker of the Lok Sabha, along with Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, Union Minister for Culture and Tourism. The annual national event serves as a vibrant platform showcasing India’s cultural, artistic, culinary and spiritual traditions, drawing visitors from across the country.
At the Indian Culture Portal stall (Stall No. 8 – Central Ministry Stalls), visitors can engage with India’s tangible and intangible heritage through curated panels, digital resources and interactive exhibits. Key thematic displays include the Maratha Military Landscape, highlighting iconic forts such as Raigad and Gingee; Deepavali: A Living Heritage of Light, celebrating the festival’s regional diversity and its recognition on UNESCO’s Representative List of Intangible Cultural Heritage; India’s Retrieved Cultural Artefacts, featuring treasures such as the Piprahwa relics of Lord Buddha; and Celebrating 1,000 Years of Resilience, tracing the history and reconstruction of the Shree Somnath Jyotirlinga Temple.
To enhance public engagement, the stall is hosting interactive activities including quizzes on Indian culture covering themes like the freedom movement, festivals, music, dance traditions, architectural marvels and textile heritage. A daily lucky draw has also been organised exclusively for teachers, adding a participatory and educational dimension to the experience. Students and other visitors are being offered complimentary goodies during the event.
The Indian Culture Portal functions as a comprehensive digital gateway to India’s cultural wealth, aggregating collections from museums, archives, libraries and cultural institutions nationwide. By leveraging digital technology, the platform aims to promote awareness, education and preservation of India’s civilisational heritage, while making it accessible to global audiences. Visitors to Bharat Parv 2026 are encouraged to explore the ICP stall to experience how India’s cultural past is being connected with its digital future.
