The Centre of Excellence at the School of Planning and Architecture (SPA), New Delhi, recently announced a 3-Day Credit-Based Programme on ‘Indian Knowledge Systems of Water: Heritage and Conservation’, aimed at exploring India’s traditional water wisdom and its relevance to modern conservation practices.

Organised in collaboration with the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA) and Jamia Millia Islamia, the programme is designed for professionals and students interested in understanding how centuries-old water management systems continue to shape contemporary approaches to sustainability, heritage protection, and water governance.
The programme will run on 26, 27, and 28 November 2025 and will be held at Swami Vivekananda Sabhagar, Ground Floor, Planning Block, SPA Delhi. The first half of the course will be conducted at SPA Delhi, while the second half includes on-site field visits, including Baolis of Delhi and a heritage walk in Mehrauli.
The course is open to architects, planners, engineers, government officials, academicians, NGOs/CSOs, consultants, and research scholars. All participants will receive a course completion certificate.
