Aga Khan Trust for Culture Invites Applications for Conservation Architects at Gwalior Fort

Gwalior: The Aga Khan Trust for Culture (AKTC) has announced a call for applications for experienced architects and conservation professionals to join its upcoming Conservation–Landscape Restoration Project at the historic Gwalior Fort.

The Trust is seeking candidates with a strong interest in heritage conservation and architectural restoration, along with excellent documentation and drawing skills. Selected professionals will be responsible for preparing detailed architectural documentation of multiple palace structures within the Gwalior Fort complex, where major conservation works are planned.

This project represents another significant step by AKTC toward the preservation and revitalization of India’s built heritage. Known for its landmark conservation efforts at Humayun’s Tomb, Sunder Nursery, and other historic sites, the Trust continues to foster a deep engagement with architectural heritage through research, documentation, and hands-on restoration.

Interested candidates are invited to apply by 15th November 2025, submitting their resume and architectural portfolio to kavita.kanojia@akdn.org. The position is based in Gwalior and will commence on 1st January 2026.
