The Land Ports Authority of India (LPAI) in collaboration with the Council of Architecture (COA) has launched the Banbasa Land Port Design Competition 2025, inviting architects, architectural students, and firms to participate in shaping a landmark project at Banbasa, Uttarakhand.

The competition seeks innovative, context-driven, and sustainable design solutions for the land port, located within a rich forest landscape and eco-sensitive zone. Participants are expected to propose ideas that balance functionality, cultural identity, and environmental harmony, while creating a design that contributes to regional development.

- Registration Start Date: 19th September 2025 (7:00 PM)
- Registration Closing Date: 16th November 2025 (7:00 PM)
- Last Date for Online Submission: 17th November 2025 (7:00 PM)
- Announcement of Shortlisted Teams (Round 1): 28th November 2025
- Presentation by Shortlisted Teams (Round 2): 5th December 2025
- Winner Announcement & Award Ceremony: 9th December 2025

- Winner: ₹5,00,000 + Trophy & Certificate
- Runner-up: ₹3,00,000 + Trophy & Certificate
Winning designs will also be showcased on the LPAI website, official publications, and social media platforms, giving participants a wider professional recognition.
