New Delhi – The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI) will organize a National Webinar on Green Budgeting on September 24, 2025 (Wednesday), from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM IST, via Webex.
The session will highlight how annual budget processes can be leveraged to mainstream climate action and environment-related Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) into planning and governance. Green budgeting, as a policy mechanism, enables governments to map and track funds, expenditures, and policies linked to environmental priorities, thereby ensuring coordinated action and long-term financing for sustainable development.
The webinar will also introduce the updated open-access Green Budgeting Toolkit, available on TERI’s Green Budgeting Portal. Case studies from Indian states as well as international experiences will be shared to provide practical insights.
