Varanasi: The National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) Varanasi has invited applications for three faculty positions and one research assistant post in the Department of Fashion Interiors Design. The appointments will be on a short-term contract basis of six months.
The available posts include:
- Assistant Professor (Product Designer) – Postgraduate in Design with relevant undergraduate background and three years’ experience.
- Assistant Professor (Architect) – Undergraduate in Architecture with a postgraduate degree in Space/Exhibition/Interior Design and three years’ experience.
- Assistant Professor (Textile Designer/Textile Technologist) – Postgraduate in Design/Textiles with three years’ relevant experience.
- Research Assistant – Master’s in Fine Arts with research or academic experience.
The consolidated monthly remuneration is ₹55,000 for Assistant Professor roles and ₹40,000 for the Research Assistant position. The maximum age limit for faculty posts is 55 years, while for the Research Assistant it is 30 years (with relaxations for reserved categories).
