The Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority (GMDA) has appointed Delhi Integrated Multi-Modal Transit System Ltd. (DIMTS) as the Project Management Consultant (PMC) for the upcoming bus depot in Sector 103. The facility, located along the Dwarka Expressway, will primarily serve the city’s emerging residential sectors while enhancing connectivity with Old Gurugram and parts of Delhi.

Spread across 7.18 acres of land acquired from the Municipal Corporation of Gurugram (MCG), the depot will have the capacity to accommodate up to 150 buses. According to GMDA officials, this project is part of the city’s broader push toward strengthening sustainable public transport.

Currently, GMDA operates functional bus depots in Sector 10 and Sector 52, which together accommodate around 200 buses. Construction is also underway for an electric bus depot in Sector 48, while the design of the new terminal at Sector 10 is nearing completion. The authority is also working to ensure seamless integration between bus depots and proposed metro stations.
By the end of this year, GMDA plans to add 200 new city buses to the fleet, significantly improving accessibility for commuters. Alongside depot development, the authority is enhancing passenger amenities through 154 new bus queue shelters—80 along the Southern and Northern Peripheral Road (Sectors 68–95) and 74 along the Upper Dwarka Expressway (Sectors 99–115).
The Sector 103 depot, strategically located near the upcoming Sheetla Mata Medical College and Hospital, is expected to become a key mobility hub for the rapidly developing corridor of New Gurugram.
