The Indian Institute of Architects (IIA), Punjab Chapter, in association with the Institute of Town Planners, India (ITPI), Punjab Regional Chapter, is set to host Sanjh 2.0, a two-day professional and cultural congregation celebrating Punjab’s rich legacy of planning and architecture. The event will be held on 17–18 January 2026 at the INTEXT Expo, Ludhiana Exhibition Centre, G.T. Road, Ludhiana, alongside INTEXT Expo 2026.

Conceived as a historic occasion, Sanjh 2.0 aims to bring together architects, town planners, academicians, students, and allied professionals to reflect on the evolution of Punjab’s built environment—from its royal and vernacular traditions to the emergence of planned modernism. The event underscores the shared responsibility of architecture and planning in shaping sustainable, culturally rooted, and future-ready cities.
The programme will feature curated discussions, professional interactions, and thematic sessions focusing on Punjab’s urban journey, architectural heritage, and contemporary planning challenges. By fostering dialogue between disciplines, Sanjh 2.0 seeks to strengthen collaborative thinking and highlight the role of design and planning in regional development.
The event is being curated by Ar. Pritpal Singh Ahluwalia, Chairman, IIA Punjab Chapter, and Sh. Pankaj Bawa, Chairman, ITPI Punjab Regional Chapter. Their leadership emphasizes the importance of institutional collaboration in advancing professional discourse and public understanding of the built environment.
With its blend of history, vision, and professional exchange, Sanjh 2.0 is expected to serve as a significant platform for practitioners and students alike, offering insights into Punjab’s past while charting pathways for its urban and architectural future.
