
The Indian Green Building Council (IGBC), in association with the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), is set to host the IGBC Green Karnataka Summit 2026 on 6 February 2026 in Bengaluru, bringing together policymakers, urban planners, architects, developers, industry leaders, and sustainability professionals on a common platform.
Marking 25 years of IGBC’s leadership in India’s green building movement, the summit will deliberate on the theme “Advancing Sustainability vis-à-vis Climate Resilience in Urban Built Karnataka.” The event aims to address emerging climate challenges while shaping a sustainable and resilient future for Karnataka’s rapidly urbanising regions.
Advancing Climate Resilience in Karnataka’s Urban Built Environment
Karnataka’s cities are at a critical juncture, facing challenges related to climate change, rapid urban growth, energy demand, and environmental stress. The summit will focus on innovative strategies and scalable solutions for climate-resilient infrastructure, green buildings, low-carbon construction, and resource-efficient urban development.
Under the larger vision of “Karnataka Future”, the summit encourages stakeholders to ideate, visualise, and build a sustainable green growth model aligned with state and national climate goals.
