17th GRIHA Summit 2025 to Focus on Climate-Resilient Innovation and Action

The GRIHA Council, in association with the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) and The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI), is set to host the 17th GRIHA Summit 2025 on November 3–4, 2025 at the India Habitat Centre, New Delhi. Themed “Innovate to Act for a Climate Resilient World,” the summit will bring together experts, policymakers, architects, engineers, and industry leaders to deliberate on sustainable and resilient pathways for India’s built environment.

A Platform for Climate-Responsive Innovation

The two-day event will feature 8 technical sessions, 4 plenary discussions, and 4 thematic tracks that aim to drive actionable dialogue on energy transition, resilient infrastructure, climate education, and sustainability advocacy. Over 50 eminent speakers are expected to share insights and strategies to address pressing environmental challenges through design, technology, and policy innovation.

Key Focus Areas

Plenary Sessions will explore:

  • Market mechanisms and policy frameworks for a low-carbon, inclusive energy transition
  • Resilient infrastructure solutions to safeguard communities and economies
  • Integration of climate pedagogy for sustainable education
  • The role of influencers and public figures in translating climate awareness into tangible impact

Thematic Tracks will drive discussions on:

  • Water security and resource optimization
  • Advancing sustainable building materials and decarbonizing the construction sector
  • Urban air pollution mitigation through planning and innovation
  • Circular economy models transforming waste into opportunities

Exhibit Pavilions and Knowledge Exchange

The summit will also feature three exhibit pavilions showcasing:

  1. A live-scale Building-Integrated Photovoltaic (BIPV) model demonstrating renewable energy in architecture
  2. Award-winning entries from the architectural design competition “Nirmaan”, highlighting climate-responsive and resilient designs
  3. An industry advancement exhibition on sustainable materials and technologies shaping the construction landscape

Beyond sessions and exhibits, the summit provides an excellent platform for networking and knowledge exchange, connecting participants with policymakers, innovators, researchers, and professionals across sectors.
