New Delhi: The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has announced a Movie-Making Competition on Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR), inviting participants to turn their creativity into a call for preparedness. The initiative encourages filmmakers, students, and organizations to produce short films that raise awareness about natural and man-made hazards and promote disaster resilience across India.

Participants can choose from a range of themes, including floods, landslides, heatwaves, cold waves, droughts, earthquakes, or any other hazard that supports the message of preparedness and risk reduction. Entries can be submitted in animation, AI visuals, or live-action formats, with a duration of 2 to 5 minutes.
Eligibility and Categories
- Category 1: Faculty and Students
- Prizes: ₹5,00,000, ₹3,00,000, and ₹2,00,000 for top three winners.
- Category 2: CSR Foundations and NGOs
- Recognition: National Certificate of Recognition and the opportunity for their video to be featured in NDMA’s national awareness campaigns with official logo credit.
Submission Guidelines
Entries must be original, high-resolution videos in WMV, MP4, MKV, or AVI format. Participants are required to submit their entries via email to ndma.awareness@gmail.com (as an attachment or Google Drive link), accompanied by a short profile and film brief. Alternatively, entries can be sent on a pen drive or DVD to NDMA Bhawan, New Delhi.
The deadline for submission is September 30, 2025.
