SPA Releases JAAP-PG 2026 Notification for Postgraduate Admissions

The prestigious Schools of Planning and Architecture (SPA), located in New Delhi, Bhopal and Vijayawada, have announced the Joint Admission for Architecture and Planning – Post Graduate (JAAP-PG) 2026 for the academic session 2026–27. The three institutions are recognized as Institutions of National Importance under the SPA Act 2014 and function under the Ministry of Education, Government of India.

Applications are invited for a wide range of postgraduate programmes in Architecture, Planning, Design and Building Engineering across the three campuses. The programmes include Master of Architecture in specializations such as Architectural Conservation, Landscape Architecture, Urban Design and Sustainable Architecture; Master of Building Engineering and Management; Master of Design (Industrial Design); and various Master of Planning courses including Environmental Planning, Regional Planning, Urban and Regional Planning, Transport Planning, Urban Planning and Housing.

The seat matrix varies across campuses. For instance, Master of Building Engineering and Management offers 39 seats in Delhi and 25 seats each in Bhopal and Vijayawada. Master of Architecture (Urban Design) has 25 seats each at Delhi, Bhopal and Vijayawada. Master of Planning (Urban Planning) offers 39 seats in Delhi, while Master of Planning (Urban and Regional Planning) provides 38 seats in Bhopal and 25 in Vijayawada.

Candidates must have secured at least 55% marks or 6.0 CGPA in the qualifying examination. For reserved categories (SC/ST/PwD), the minimum requirement is 50% marks or 5.5 CGPA. Selection will be based on performance in the qualifying examination, valid GATE/CEED/UGC-NET (JRF) score (as applicable), physical interaction, and work experience.

The registration process will commence in February 2026. Interested candidates are advised to regularly visit the official websites of SPA Delhi, SPA Bhopal and SPA Vijayawada for detailed course information and updates..

The application fee is ₹3,500 for Indian nationals and ₹1,750 for SC, ST and PwD candidates (non-refundable). Foreign Nationals, NRI, PIO and OCI candidates must apply separately through the DASA 2026 portal. Additionally, 5% seats are reserved horizontally for persons with benchmark disabilities as per Government of India norms. Final-year/semester students are also eligible to apply.
