New Delhi: Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) has officially released the notification for Ph.D. admissions for the academic session 2025–26. The university has detailed the complete schedule for the admission process, including application dates, test schedule, interviews, and commencement of coursework.
According to the notification issued by the Office of the Controller of Examinations, the online application process will begin on October 20, 2025, and continue till November 8, 2025. Candidates will have the opportunity to edit their forms from November 9 to November 10, 2025. The admit cards will be issued on November 11, 2025, followed by the admission test scheduled for November 15 and 16, 2025.
The results will be declared between November 27 and 29, 2025, and candidates will be required to submit their research proposals to their respective departments by December 8, 2025. The interview and presentation round will be conducted from December 10 to December 19, 2025.
The final list of selected candidates will be displayed on December 22, 2025, and admission formalities must be completed between December 23 and December 30, 2025. Classes for coursework are set to commence on January 13, 2026.
The application fee for the Ph.D. program is ₹2000 per student, and all applications must be submitted online through the official JMI admission portal: https://admission.jmi.ac.in.
