Ahmedabad: The Council of Architecture Training & Research Centre (COA-TRC), Pune, in association with SAL School of Architecture, Ahmedabad, is organizing a five-day offline Faculty Development Programme (FDP) titled “Envisioning Landscapes” from December 8 to 12, 2025, at the SAL campus, located opposite Science City, Sola Road, Ahmedabad.

This immersive FDP will emphasize the importance of sustainable land use, ecological preservation, and cultural sensitivity, encouraging participants to explore future-focused landscape design approaches that address environmental and social challenges. The programme aims to sensitize faculty members toward the ecological, cultural, and aesthetic dimensions of landscape design.

- Day 1 – Introductory Session (Dec 8):
Talks by Ar. Neelkanth Chhaya, Ar. Peter Rich (Online, Johannesburg), Mr. Ayub Shersaiya (CEE), and Ar. Bobby Sajnani (Beyond Green) introducing conceptual and contextual dimensions of landscape design. - Day 2 – Landscape Urbanism (Dec 9):
Session by Ar. Akshay Kaul, Principal Architect at Akshay Kaul and Associates, exploring urban-scale landscape strategies through design-led workshops. - Day 3 – Cultural Landscape (Dec 10):
Presentations by Ar. Pragya Shankar, Ar. Anal Kapadia Vaishnav, Ar. Kaustubh Mankodi, and Mr. Nagendra Purohit, highlighting cultural narratives and community-driven landscape practices. - Day 4 – Urban Ecology (Dec 11):
