Financial Assistance for B.Arch Students Who Have Lost a Family Breadwinner

The Council of Architecture (COA), under the Ministry of Education, Government of India, has launched a scholarship initiative aimed at supporting students pursuing undergraduate architectural education who are facing severe financial hardships.

This scheme is specifically designed for students who have lost their family’s earning member and are unable to afford tuition fees for their B.Arch studies at COA-approved institutions.

Scholarship Highlights:

  • COA Scholarship Amount: Up to ₹1,00,000 per annum or actual tuition fee (whichever is lower)
  • Number of Scholarships: 100 students across India
  • Preference: Female students will be given priority
  • Disbursement: Scholarship amount will be directly transferred to the institution

Eligibility Criteria:

1. Eligible Aspirants

  • Must be enrolled in a B.Arch course at a COA-approved architecture institution.

2. Financial Criteria

  • Applicable for students who have lost their family’s earning member and cannot afford undergraduate architectural education.

3. Scholarship Renewal Requirements

  • Minimum 65% marks in the annual examination
  • At least 75% attendance
  • No involvement in misconduct or ragging

Terms & Conditions:

  • The candidate must not be receiving any other scholarship from any source.
  • The scholarship will be disbursed directly to the respective institution.
