NSUT will admit students through national-level entrance examinations and institutional selection processes depending on the programme:
- B.Tech.: Admission based on JEE (Main) 2026 Paper-I Rank
- B.Arch.: Admission through JEE (Main) 2026 Paper-II Rank
- M.Tech.: Candidates must have a valid GATE score or qualify through a written test conducted by NSUT (for non-GATE applicants)
- B.Des.: Selection based on UCEED 2026 rank or other national/state-level design entrance exams
- M.Sc. (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics): Admission via CUET 2026 score
- MA (English, Applied Psychology): Admission details as per university guidelines
- BBA (Hons.): Based on CUET 2026 score
- MBA: Candidates will be shortlisted using CAT 2025 or MAT 2025/26 scores, followed by a personal interview
- MBA-IEV: Selection through a written test and personal interview
