The Joint Admission for Architecture and Planning – Post Graduate (JAAP-PG) 2026 has officially opened applications for postgraduate programs across three premier institutions—School of Planning and Architecture (SPA) Delhi, Bhopal, and Vijayawada—for the academic session 2026–27.

As per the official notification, the last date for registration has been extended to March 29, 2026, providing additional time for aspiring candidates to apply.
Wide Range of Postgraduate Programs
The admission process offers a diverse portfolio of specialized programs, including:
- Master of Architecture (M.Arch) – Conservation, Landscape Architecture, Urban Design, Sustainable Architecture
- Master of Design (M.Des) – Industrial Design and related fields
- Master of Building Engineering and Management (MBEM)
- Master of Planning (M.Plan) – Environmental Planning, Urban Planning, Transport Planning, Housing, and more
These programs aim to cater to evolving demands in architecture, urban planning, and design disciplines.
Eligibility and Selection Criteria
Candidates must have a minimum of 55% marks or 6.0 CGPA (50% for reserved categories) in their qualifying degree. The selection process is comprehensive and based on:
- Academic performance
- Valid GATE / CEED / UGC-NET scores (where applicable)
- Physical interaction (interviews, portfolio, SOP)
- Work experience
Scholarships are available for candidates with valid GATE or CEED scores.
Key Dates and Admission Process
According to the official schedule (as seen in the timeline document), the admission process will proceed as follows:
- Registration Deadline: March 29, 2026
- Eligible Candidates List: March 31, 2026
- Interaction & Document Verification: April 16–21, 2026 (SPA Delhi)
- Result Announcement: April 28, 2026
- Counselling & Seat Allotment: April 28 – May 23, 2026
- Special Round: June 3 – July 10, 2026
Further rounds, including seat allocation, fee submission, and withdrawals, will continue through May, followed by special rounds and spot counselling if seats remain vacant.
Application Fee and Reservations
- ₹3,500 for General category candidates
- ₹1,750 for SC/ST/EWS/PwD candidates
The admission process follows Government of India reservation norms, including 5% horizontal reservation for PwD candidates and provisions for Kashmiri Migrants.
Opportunities for Final-Year Students and Sponsored Candidates
Final-year students are also eligible to apply, with admissions remaining provisional until final results are submitted. Sponsored candidates from government and PSU organizations can apply through proper channels, with possible relaxation in selection criteria.
