The Delhi Subordinate Services Selection Board (DSSSB) has announced 313 vacancies for Civil Engineers under its Combined Examination 2026, inviting applications for the posts of Assistant Engineer (Civil) and Junior Engineer (Civil) in various government departments of the Government of NCT of Delhi.
According to the official notification released on 20 February 2026, the recruitment includes 33 vacancies for Assistant Engineer (Civil) and 281 vacancies for Junior Engineer (Civil) across departments such as Delhi Jal Board, Delhi Agricultural Marketing Board, and New Delhi Municipal Council.
Vacancy Details for Civil Engineers
For the Assistant Engineer (Civil) post, 32 vacancies have been announced in Delhi Jal Board and 1 vacancy in the Delhi Agricultural Marketing Board, making a total of 33 positions. The Junior Engineer (Civil) recruitment includes 180 vacancies in Delhi Jal Board and 101 vacancies in the New Delhi Municipal Council, bringing the total to 281 posts.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates applying for Assistant Engineer (Civil) must possess a degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized university or institution. For Junior Engineer (Civil), candidates must have either a degree in Civil Engineering or a three-year diploma in Civil Engineering, along with relevant experience in civil engineering works in certain cases.
The age limit for most engineering posts is up to 30 years, with age relaxations applicable for reserved categories according to government rules.
Examination Scheme
The recruitment for both Assistant Engineer (Civil) and Junior Engineer (Civil) will be conducted through a one-tier computer-based technical examination. The exam will include objective-type questions covering general awareness, reasoning ability, numerical ability, language comprehension, and technical domain knowledge related to civil engineering.

The online application process started on 24 February 2026 at 12:00 noon and will remain open until 25 March 2026 at 11:59 PM. Interested candidates must submit their applications through the official DSSSB online portal.
