New Delhi — The Building Materials and Technology Promotion Council (BMTPC), in collaboration with the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA), is set to host a one-day seminar titled “New Technologies for Housing: A Road Map” at Gulmohar Hall, India Habitat Centre, Lodhi Road, New Delhi.

The event will bring together eminent professionals, researchers, and policymakers to deliberate on the adoption of innovative construction methods that can revolutionize the housing sector in India.
The seminar will commence with the welcome and inaugural session featuring addresses by Dr. Shailesh Kumar Agrawal, Executive Director of BMTPC, the Director of MNIT, Joint Secretary (HFA), MoHUA, and the Secretary, MoHUA, followed by the ceremonial lighting of the lamp.
Throughout the day, experts will present on key themes such as:

- “Precast Construction: Challenges & Opportunities” by Yogesh P. Kajale, Vice President, B.G. Shirke Construction Technology Pvt. Ltd., Pune
- “Pre-Engineered Constructions: Successful Case Studies & Road Map” by Abhay Gupta, Director, Skeleton Consultants Pvt. Ltd., Noida
- “Hybrid Technologies: CPWD’s Efforts” by Rajesh Banga, ADG, CPWD
- “Testing Standards for Evaluation of New Technologies” by Dr. Shiv Dayal Bharti, Professor, MNIT Jaipur
- “Road Map for Developing New Technologies” by Prof. C. V. R. Murty, IIT Madras
An Architects–Engineers Conclave, moderated by Jaswant N. Arlekar, Structural Engineer, R. S. Mandrekar & Associates, Mumbai, will provide practical insights on the implementation of new technologies in the built environment.
The seminar will conclude with an open house discussion and vote of thanks, highlighting the collective commitment to driving technological advancement in India’s housing sector.
