The Indian Sociological Society (ISS), under its Adhoc Group 04: Visual Sociology, has announced a Call for Visual Entries for the upcoming 50th All India Sociological Conference (AISC) scheduled for December 2025.
This year’s conference revolves around the compelling theme — “Mobilities and Inequalities: Shifting Contexts; Changing Paradigms.” Participants are invited to visually explore these ideas through creative and analytical lenses.
Entries can be submitted in the form of Posters (either hand-drawn or digital) or Photo Essays, all in A3 size. Selected works will be showcased during the 50th AISC, offering contributors an opportunity to engage with sociologists, researchers, and artists from across the country.
The last date for submission is November 15, 2025, and entries should be sent to visualsociology2025@gmail.com.
This initiative encourages visual expression and interdisciplinary engagement, inviting participation from diverse academic and creative backgrounds, including architecture and design students interested in the sociological dimensions of urbanism, mobility, and inequality.
