The PM inaugurated the Yellow Line of the Bangalore Metro—a 19 km corridor from RV Road (Ragigudda) to Bommasandra with 16 stations, built at a cost of ₹7,160 crore. He also laid the foundation stone for Bangalore Metro Phase-3 (Orange Line), a 44 km project with 31 elevated stations, costing ₹15,610 crore. Once completed, the combined metro network will serve 25 lakh daily passengers, significantly reducing traffic congestion in Bengaluru.

In addition, PM Modi flagged off three Vande Bharat Express trains:

  • Bengaluru – Belagavi
  • Nagpur – Pune
  • Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra – Amritsar

These high-speed trains aim to boost regional trade, tourism, and passenger convenience. The Bengaluru–Belagavi route is expected to benefit business travel and tourism in North Karnataka.

With this Yellow Line addition, Bengaluru’s operational metro network now extends to 96 km, strengthening connectivity across industrial, residential, and commercial hubs.
