Unified RERA Portal Launched to Strengthen Transparency in Real Estate

New Delhi – The Unified RERA Portal (rera.mohua.gov.in) was launched during the 5th meeting of the Central Advisory Council (CAC) on the Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Act, 2016 (RERA), held at Sankalp Bhawan, New Delhi.

The portal offers a single national digital platform for homebuyers, developers, and regulatory bodies, designed to improve transparency, accountability, and data sharing across States and Union Territories.

Key Developments at the Meeting

  • 8 years of RERA implementation were reviewed, focusing on progress in project registration, timely delivery, grievance redressal, and improved accountability.
  • Significant achievements reported:
    • 35 States/UTs have established Real Estate Regulatory Authorities.
    • 29 States/UTs have set up Appellate Tribunals.
    • Over 1.51 lakh projects and 1.06 lakh agents are registered under RERA.
    • Nearly 1.47 lakh complaints have been resolved nationwide.

Major Issues Discussed

  • Strategies to address legacy stalled projects, with Uttar Pradesh already implementing the recommendations of the Amitabh Kant Committee.
