India Post Unveils Revamped Gen Z–Themed Post Office at Delhi University

India Post has inaugurated the newly revamped Delhi University Post Office, the second campus post office in India to be transformed under its nationwide initiative to connect more meaningfully with Generation Z. Guided by the vision of Union Minister of Communications Shri Jyotiraditya M. Scindia, the project aims to redesign post offices into vibrant, tech-enabled, student-centric spaces.

The facility’s makeover has been shaped by student artists from the Miranda House Adversity Fine Arts Society, who contributed to graffiti art, interior themes, and promotional materials—giving the post office a youthful identity. Modern amenities such as free Wi-Fi, dedicated student service counters, parcel packing services, and discounted Speed Post document services have been introduced to enhance accessibility for students.

As part of India Post’s broader transformation plan, 46 post offices located within educational institutions will be revamped by January 2026. During the event, the Postal Service Board acknowledged the support of Delhi University leadership, including the Registrar, Dean (Administration), and the Principal of Miranda House, for enabling this student-focused initiative.

The launch at Delhi University follows the recent inauguration of the modernized IIT Hauz Khas Post Office, strengthening India Post’s commitment to building deeper engagement with young citizens across the country.
