The National Highways & Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited (NHIDCL) has released Hiring Notice No. 07/2026, inviting applications for 100 Associate positions under the State Specific Graduate Scheme (SSGS). The recruitment aims to engage young Civil Engineering graduates on a contractual basis to support highway and infrastructure development projects in the North Eastern Region, Hilly States, Border Areas, and other strategic locations where NHIDCL operates.
The recruitment is open to eligible graduates domiciled in the respective State or Union Territory where vacancies are available. The engagement is initially for two years, extendable by one year at a time up to a maximum of three years, subject to performance and project requirements.

NHIDCL has stated that the number of vacancies is tentative and may change depending on project requirements.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must possess:
- Graduation in Civil Engineering or an equivalent discipline.
- Degree from IITs, NITs, or institutions ranked among the Top 100 in the NIRF Engineering Rankings during the year of graduation or the preceding year.
- 0–2 years of experience after obtaining the essential qualification.
- Maximum age of 30 years as on the date of issue of the advertisement.
Final-year students likely to complete their graduation before joining are also eligible to apply. Generally, applicants must be domiciled in the State/UT for which they are applying, with specific relaxation provisions for the Andaman & Nicobar Islands.
Salary and Engagement
Selected Associates will receive a monthly consultancy fee of ₹70,000–₹80,000. NHIDCL has also announced:
- Annual enhancement of 5% in consultancy fee.
- Additional 20% location allowance for Associates deployed in the Andaman & Nicobar Islands.
- Three-day induction programme before deployment.
Role and Responsibilities
Associates will assist NHIDCL in:
- Project preparation and DPR review
- Highway design appraisal
- Construction supervision and monitoring
- Contract management and documentation
- Quality assurance and technical compliance
- Post-construction and operation & maintenance support
