BBMP Recruitment 2025: Apply for Urban Planner & Transport Expert Posts in Bengaluru

Bengaluru – The Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) has released a notification inviting applications from qualified and experienced professionals for the roles of Urban Designers/Planners and Urban Transport Planning Experts. The recruitment is for a one-year contractual engagement within the Urban Design Cell under the Road Infrastructure Division. ^{BBMP Recruitment 2025}

Available Positions:

• Urban Designer/Planner – 2 Posts
• Urban Transport Planning Expert – 2 Posts

Eligibility Criteria:

• Urban Designer/Planner:
  • Master’s Degree in Urban Planning / Urban Design
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience in urban design, street design, land use planning, etc.
  • Must be fluent in Kannada
  • Preference will be given to candidates with experience in Bengaluru-based urban design projects.
• Urban Transport Planning Expert:
  • Master’s Degree in Planning (Transportation/Traffic Engineering/Urban Transport Systems)
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in urban mobility, active transport, public transport planning, etc.
  • Proficiency in Kannada is mandatory
  • Experience with traffic modelling, DPR preparation, and feasibility studies will be advantageous.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Support planning and design of road infrastructure and transport-related projects.
2. Contribute to urban mobility strategies, including walkability and pedestrian-friendly street design.
3. Collaborate with stakeholders and departments for urban development.
4. Prepare reports, project documents, and policy drafts.
5. Work with GIS tools and urban data to support decision-making.

Remuneration:

• Compensation will be based on experience and industry norms.
