CEPT University’s Faculty of Planning is set to organise a Planning Charrette 2026, an immersive workshop introducing participants to its collaborative, studio-based approach to urban planning and design. The programme will be conducted in Bengaluru on 21 February 2026 (1:30 PM – 5:30 PM) and Chennai on 22 February 2026 (1:30 PM – 5:30 PM).

Designed as a hands-on academic engagement, the charrette will simulate real-world urban challenges, allowing participants to experience CEPT’s pedagogical model that integrates contextual inquiry, analytical reasoning, spatial thinking, and collaborative problem-solving.
What is the Planning Charrette?
The Planning Charrette is an intensive workshop format widely used in urban design and planning practice. In this edition, participants will engage in a guided exercise situated within the context of Bengaluru’s urban conditions. Through structured discussions, collaborative mapping, and conceptual design thinking, attendees will gain insight into how CEPT’s planning curriculum translates theory into practice.

- Undergraduate students (3rd year and above)
