The Council of Architecture – Training & Research Centre (COA-TRC), Pune, in collaboration with Maharshi Karve Stree Shikshan Samstha’s Dr. Bhanuben Nanavati College of Architecture for Women (BNCA), has announced a five-day online Faculty Development Program (FDP) titled “Architectural Environments and Behavioral Sciences: Academics, Practice and Research.”
The program will be held from 15th to 19th December 2025, between 2:30 PM and 5:45 PM.
Understanding Behaviour Through Architecture
The FDP focuses on how human behaviour is shaped by the built environment. It emphasizes the complex relationships between architecture, psychology, social conditions, and cultural factors—highlighting how well-designed spaces can support health, well-being, and human interaction.
This interdisciplinary program aims to help architecture educators integrate environmental psychology, social behaviour studies, and cultural influences into their academic and design approaches.
