Convened following the High-Level Political Forum, the meeting will review the implementation of the New Urban Agenda, which was adopted at the Habitat III Conference in Quito, Ecuador, in 2016.

The review will evaluate achievements, identify implementation challenges and discuss priorities for advancing the agenda through 2036. UN-Habitat stated that the meeting will help shape future policies for inclusive, resilient and sustainable cities while strengthening international cooperation on urban development.

The discussions are expected to address housing, urban governance, infrastructure, climate resilience and equitable access to urban services, providing guidance for governments and local authorities as they continue implementing the New Urban Agenda.
