The Council of Architecture (CoA), an autonomous statutory authority under the Government of India established under the Architects Act, 1972, has released an official advertisement inviting applications for the posts of Director, Deputy Director, and Assistant Director at its Training and Research Centres.
The recruitment aims to strengthen architectural education, research, and professional development across the country. According to the notification, the selected candidates will work on a contractual basis and contribute toward promoting research and academic excellence in architecture and allied disciplines.
Key Positions Announced
Director
The post of Director requires candidates to hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture or equivalent qualification along with a Master’s Degree in Architecture or allied subjects with a minimum of 60 percent marks at either level.
Applicants should possess:
- Minimum 20 years of teaching, research, or professional experience
- At least 5 years of full-time teaching experience
- Minimum 5 years of administrative experience in a similar role
A Ph.D. in Architecture is considered desirable for this position.
- Location: Pune
- Maximum Age: 65 Years
- Remuneration: ₹1.75 Lakh per month
Deputy Director
Candidates applying for Deputy Director must have:
- Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Architecture or allied subjects with minimum 60 percent marks
- At least 12 years of teaching, research, or professional experience
- Minimum 3 years of full-time teaching experience
- Minimum 5 years of administrative experience
- Location: Pune/Bhopal
- Maximum Age: 55 Years
- Remuneration: ₹1.00 Lakh per month
Assistant Director
For the Assistant Director position, candidates should possess:
- Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Architecture or allied subjects with minimum 60 percent marks
- Minimum 8 years of teaching, research, or professional experience
- At least 2 years of full-time teaching experience
- Location: Pune/Bangalore
- Maximum Age: 45 Years
- Remuneration: ₹0.75 Lakh per month
