Delhi – A six-Storey under-construction Building Collapses in northeast Delhi’s Mustafabad collapsed during a severe dust storm and rain late Friday night, leaving four people dead and several others injured or feared trapped. The incident has reignited concerns over structural safety, building code compliance, and storm-resilient design in urban construction.

Rescue operations led by the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), Delhi Police, and municipal teams are still underway, as 14 individuals have been pulled from the debris so far. The death toll rose to four by Saturday morning, and many more are feared to be beneath the rubble.

The building was reportedly in an active phase of construction when strong winds and heavy rain—part of an intense dust storm—swept through the capital. Eyewitnesses said the structure had shown signs of instability earlier in the day.
This tragedy comes just a week after another wall collapse near Madhu Vihar police station, which also occurred during stormy weather and resulted in one fatality and two injuries. Both incidents point to the fragility of under-construction sites in the face of increasing weather volatility.
